CV joint / axle

New car is making the CV Axle noise (or what I would think it would sound like) when I make right turns. Also sounds like it's coming from the right side but not sure? I thought that if it was the left side then you would hear it from the right and vice versa. Anyway, picked up an axle from Advanced Auto (they had one in stock!) and I guess I'll have to find a place around to do it. Is this a something that only a Subaru dealership should do or could I take it to my dad's mechanic?

Significant Technical Input
Any mechanic should be able to replace it in less than a half-hour. Whether or not they'll want to install your part is another story...
