My SVX saved many tonight
So i was at work at 530 when the snow began to fall here. By 8 o clock everything was covered and the roads were very slippery. We live on a hill and theres 5 different ways of getting to our house but all include having to go up hills. My mom was driving the 02 accord and she got stuck on the hill because the car died for some reason. She calls me at work....i clean off the SVX and proceed to the mountain. As I am turning up the hill there is a crappy wagon in front of me. This wagon was zig zagging all across the road and almost hit my moms car while she was in it! I was pulled over waiting for this jackass to finish his tantrum trying to get up the hill. He finally made it up sideways. I get my mom in the car and climb the hill and drop her off at home. I get back down and the accord starts right up and i somehow managed to get it back home while leaving the SVX on the side of the road. I walked back to the SVX and my uncle calls me to tell me he is stuck with his Benz. I drove 10 miles to get to him and got him out. Then my brother was on his way home from the seminary and he couldnt make it uphill either. Our hill doesnt get plowed until late night or early morning when the cars are off the road. I saved everyone who lives in my house

I also realized how much i loathe FWD and RWD and how any car i buy again will always be AWD. Then again any car i get will be a subaru so that won't be a problem

I had the same Sumitomo tires on my last SVX and they were awesome in the snow. I would recommend them to anyone. Not sure what brand Huck had put on my current SVX but lucky for him they don't get much snow in Kentucky. They're horrible in the snow, at least compared to my old SVX's tires. Either that or this last snow was especially slippery but I don't think that was the case.
