Here are some pics from the June 20 autocross that I competed in:

http://www.ssscc.org/2004_season/pics06/index.html (3 pages of pics)

One of the pics has me going on the wrong side of a pointer cone. :-))) First time autocrossing. :-)

Check out the yellow/gray '65 Vette. I think he steered the car entirely with HP and brakes. :-)

Another cool are in there is the Mazda 323GTX. AWD, 200 and something HP. He had 2nd fastest time of the day. He was on race tires.

Thumbs up

Nice pics!!! Your car looks pretty well balanced in some of those turns with marginal body roll.

That '65 vette looks awesome!!!

How did you stack up in your class as well as overall?

Little tiny pics....old eyes....can't find Mychailo going on the wrong side of the cone....

Mychailo, repeat after me...."I will get race tires before my next autocross, I will get race tires before my next autocross."

Another convert!! Looks like we're going to have to establish an SVX autocross team...
Let's see:
NewSVX --- Senior Sage
SVXRide --- Humble Student
Chike --- Master of the 4:44 (oops, 4:11 )
Mychailo --- Suspension Guru/Seeker of the Line
Ron M -- Master of Mirth/Seeker of Humor
Rufus -- Honorary Member (he is driving a 911 right now!)

Who else?

You know I'd be in Bill, just as soon as someone can prove to me that an SVX is faster around those cones than my XT is.

That's unfortunately a difficult thing to determine from a photo without knowing the course and where the subject is on it. Most people tend to take photos like these where the car is pretty static. There are a couple really dynamic photos in there, like the one of the 1st-gen MR2. But mostly they just look like cars accelerating.

No word back from him yet. Do you know if SVX-FF replaced the shims & gaskets when he did the 4.11 swap?

You're kidding, right?

BTW, I went on the wrong side of that cone four times before I got it right. :-)

If you work your way to the photos from the main page (http://www.ssscc.org/), the link to the June 20 auto-x pics is a picture of that vette getting totally sideways. That thing was a total beast. Insanely loud too.

Didn't stack up that well. About the middle of the novice men class. My fast time was just under 1:13 on stock tires. Fast time of the day was 1:00 (on race tires). There was a guy with an STi that turned a 1:04 and a guy with an EVO 8 that turned a 1:05. Not sure if they were on race or street tires.
