fireball!

sunday night at about 7:05pm MST, i was sitting in the hot tub and i saw this most amazing meteor. it was so amazing that i actually saw it break in two before it burned up completely. i was told that large meteors like this are called fireballs. i was wondering if it was visible outside of colorado and if anyone else saw it?

That would definitely rain on my parade, a meteor slamming into my roof.

as i once said in our colorado sighting thread, i should pay more attention to the road and less attention to finding other SVXs. as for the meteor, it was bigger, brighter, and faster than anything else in the sky. do you not have a view of the southern sky from your hot tub? if you had, you would have seen it.

well it happened again!

we were lounging in the hot tub a few nights ago and saw several early persied meteors. shorty before we got out, we saw the second most amazing meteor. hubby saw the whole of it, but i only caught the last second as it broke apart. i still need to check the newspaper to see if it was mentioned.
