Colors of body vs roof/trunk lid

Anyone knows if there was a clear chart of body colors ?

It seems quite confusing : for some colors, all is painted, even roof and decklid. For others, these two are dark grey, like tainted glass.

I suppose there may have been some kind of "logic" : colors that used one scheme and colors that used the other.

But is it ? I did not find any evidence of such classification.

In North America, 92 cars that were Teal Green and black were a solid color. Liquid Silver, Pearl White and Claret cars had the black top/side window trim/trunk lid and wing. All 93 cars were solid Barcelona Red. In 94, only the pearl white cars were two-toned. Red, Laguna Blue and black were solid. From that point onward, all cars were a solid color. IIRC, some countries had black over red available. Over the years, there have been a number of people who have had green (myself included), red, blue or bordeux cars' trunk/roof/etc. repainted black. Hope this helps!
