I picked up a bottle of 3M Plastic Polish from the local UAP/Napa, and the results are the headlights are a LOT clearer than before. Not perfect, mind you, but I no longer see a film on the headlights when it's dry.

I haven't tried Doug's suggestion of using wet sandpaper, but I plan to in a couple of weeks to see if I can get it even clearer.

If you can wait til you get down to TO, I've got a half bottle here just begging to be used.

I'll throw in some 3M plastic cleaner and polish. Just about anything that has a fine grit to it will help. Some people have used the brass cleaner Brasso. Toothpaste (the paste not the gel) will even help a little. No evidence on whether the tartar control or whitening paste works the best.

Cheers,
Matt

A guy at work told me today that baking soda and water works better than novuus on the headlights. I am going to try both this weekend and see if he's right.
