Happy New Year Happy towing!

My '96 bordoeax got towed just 2 days ago. First day at work this year. I parked my car and saw the trail of leak on the ground... I looked up and saw the car making smoke! I thought it was one of the CV boots got messed and grease scattered but found out that it was the power steering. The fluid leaked out and no power. I can still drive but I can only go back and forth. I called AAA and got it towed. They sent me 2 trucks.... The first one was just a regular tow truck and which is not best to tow AWD. So he called another truck which has flatbed. Those truck drivers were very into my SVX.. first they had no idea it was Subaru. And the windows... They were amazed. I actually had good time chatting with them. After towed he also helped me a lot to park at the auto shop too w/o the power steering....that really needs muscle.

Now one of my SVX is at the shop being taken care. I hope it's easy fix..

I also took photos since these are good reference for my work too. I design toy cars and trucks for living!

I've always loved your Bordeaux SVX, those Murano rims look amazing on it!

Good luck with it, I hope it gets back on the road soon!

Every tow guy i've dealt with with my SVX's always ends up chatting with me about them we deffinetly have some very catchy looking cars!

Sorry to hear about your mishap Ryu. Nice to see the AAA guys took good care of the car.

I have a question for you; how many miles are on your '92 silver car?

Joe

My car got towed on New years eve to a shop.
Looks like another year of fixing the "little things".

Thanks!
I got a call from shop today and seems like the hose was the primary suspect. She should be back on the road in like a week!

Funny, my '92 and '96 has almost identical mileage. They are about 115K. It's about the time I should pay attention to all the rubbers and hoses under the hood!

Mine was the return(?) hose cracked or something. I'm just relieved to hear it wasn't like gearbox or some mechanical things... Should get back on the road soon!

Mine was bit late, I've already made a mess under the hood and parking lot!

Does anyone know how to clean ATF off of a concrete driveway? Mine dumped on a friends nice clean driveway at his Florida vacation home and detergent and scrubbing still left a stain. First time he saw the SVX. I was sooo embarassed.

-cover with kitty litter
-grind it in with your shoes, do a little dance on it, really work the stuff in
-sweep away
-If it's still there, spray with brake cleaner and repeat the kitty litter thing.
