98 Impreza 5 spd? (to swap)

Well still looking for the tranny & parts for a 5 speed swap. I found a 98 Impreza 5 speed in a local yard & wondered if this could be the ticket? If compatible would I want to pull the pedal cage also? How about hydraulic clutch actuators (presuming here it's a hydraulic system) Also think this requires the rear end gear swap out also? Appreciate any input or advice from the Forum on this. Thanks, Subiedo

You should be able to use the pedal set and the hydraulic clutch actuators as well as the transmission. I don't know on the rear diff, but I think you will need it too.

To be able to use the rear diff, it needs to have 5 bolts holding in the side plates. I think the Impreza's have screw in side plates? You'll need to source a matching diff from a Legacy.
