Potential POWER mode problem

So recently ive been testing the POWER mode in my car and i was told its supposed to shift at 6.5 rpm's. Everytime i floor it the power light comes on and power mode engages but the rpm needle goes over 6.5 so i always let up on the gas and then it shifts. Other than that the car shifts normal but i dont know if i should be concerned or not. It doesnt really matter to me because i dont rev the car that high anyway. Just would like some of your input.

The car will automatically shift at redline. Don't worry about it.

Dave is right.

I am pretty certain that the shift point for POWER mode in the auto is set for 6750, give or take a few.

If yours is going this high or higher, then smile, you will be able to access more power for overtaking or top speed checks.

There is a failsafe system to change up at the red line, so you can't do any harm anyway.

Lets not forget that automotive gauges are not 100% accurate.....
