SVX Struts (Porter?)

I was looking at my SVX in the garage the other day, and I noticed that the Drivers side front end is sitting a little lower than the passenger side front.

From looking around I see that its best to replace struts in pairs.

So, here we go. I would like Koni's, only I cannot afford the full set all at once, am I better off just getting a new Pair of OEM Struts/Mounts?

Is it possible to get 2 front Koni's only, and would this be wise?

Suspension

Hi Chris, The struts do not have any effect on ride hight. Unless, the mounting plate on top has started to fail from rust etc. I replaced only the fronts with Konis as the rebound rate was not the same front to rear. This solved the problem as the Konis could be adjusted to match the rear oems. Since I did that a few years ago, I replaced the oem hood with a carbon fiber hood and replaced the oem exhaust with a Stebro. This reduced the weight on the front suspension and caused the front to ride higher than I liked. I put a set [front only] of lowering springs from Dayle and the Konis continue to do a nice job. I would look for something that is failing on that side of the SVX. Take care, BOBB

P/S I bought a set of four springs from Motorsports Warehouse. Front and rear, but only put on the fronts at this time. Front and rear are matched in ride height now. "B"

would I be able to tell from under the hood, or would I look in the wheel well?

I would agree that the struts don't effect ride height, but the springs do, so maybe they are worn.

Struts

Hi Chris, I think you have to remove the strut. At least the top mount, to look at the mount. Or it could be a spring. Take care, BOBB
