At the top right side of the engine there is a little port that is barely big enough to fit a wrench in to undo the bolts that hold it to the flexplate. The throttle body is in the way too. Helps to have a flat box-end wrench with a built-in ratching mechanism (if I remember correctly it's 12mm). You will have to have some way of turning over the engine (there's 4 bolts). I used a socket on a breaker bar & turned the engine by hand.

yeah i found out how to do it. You can also do it underneath the engine there is a small space between the front subfram and the power sterring unit.

I have no idea if this is going to make any sense, but i thought on a lot of trucks, and other auto trannied cars, that by changing the torque converter, many times you could get your car ALOT faster... not that this would be inexpensive, but i was wondering if you could shed some light on this... (maybe somehow get some lowdown grunting torque in this car )???

what's usually done is to change the stall speed of the torque converter. Usually a drag racing mod - something the SVX isn't well know for outside of bracket racing. However, it usually also causes the transmission to run hotter too, something that would cause most of us to break out in hot (I mean cold) shivers.
