Question front bearings

Heh! I've heard so much about rear bearings - in fact I replaced mine a couple of months ago (HubTamer etc.) - BUT what about front bearings. It seems I'm hearing a little bearing nose (hopefully from the front!) that sounds similar to the rear bearing noise. Are they undersized too (like the rears)?

ANY THOUGHTS? THANKS!

I do not remember seeing much on the fronts. I do know that the grease seals are most likely worthless after 8 years and 180k miles. How much was that hub tamer? It may pay for itself with 4 bearing changes.

Smile hubtamer

The HubTamer was $200. on eBay. I don't have 180,000 now (do you) - I've got about 68,000 miles right now.

Yes. I put 90k miles on all the wheel bearings since I got it.

Talking HubTamer

I don't know if it's for front wheel drive specifically, but the set-up it lists in the HubTamer manual IS for the front bearing! I had to figure out myself which specific parts to choose for the rear bearings (as Beav confirmed). I'm sure it would have cost me more than the $200 cost to have the dealer do it here.

IS THE NOISE I'M HEARING (INFREQUENT, NOT TOO LOUD) PROBABLY THE FRONT BEARINGS?

THANKS!
