Hi
Well I did not get the car in to boost today, sorry I have a ton of differential equations HW so I had not enough time to go out with the car. The car has been off the road for such a long time that its registration is expired by over a year so I need to get to that this week as well. I wish that I could just go and have fun with it but I know if start driving it my HW is not going to get done. How ever I did try an experiment, I attached the wastgate actuator to the wastgate and put my thumb over a vacuum hose that I loosened (the one that runs to the BOV) and I revved the engine the vacuum went away it was so exiting. Once again I am sorry that I did not get a chance to boost it but that is how it goes when you are in school.

I know how that goes all too well. I'm surprised you have the will power to do you work instead of messin' with the car. As long as we get word as to what it is like once you get around to it... I think we will be understanding, and as patient as possible.

How about one of you blokes doing his homework for him, so he can get out and try the car.

Hi all well the turbo that I bought two years ago was bad when I got it so I need to spend another few hundred to get the thing rebuilt. I was very upset about this on Monday when I found out. But it turns out to be a good thing. A storm hit New Mexico tech all of the cars are distorted (my car was an hour north in Albuquerque adn it is fine) hear is a picture of the hail and some of the damage that it did. The SVX in this picture is not mine we all feel for the person whose it is.

This was about an average hail ball

Sorry to hear the turbo went bad on you. Check Ebay, b/c from time to time I see people selling rebuilt turbos at very competitive prices...

Those hail balls are huge!

WOW....I was gonna PM you and see if your car got hit. That's amazing how the hail just destroyed any plastic parts. I feel sorry for saturn owners who now have a swiss cheesed body. That was an intense storm to say the least! Glad to hear you didn't get hit. We got some large hail at my house too, but I was in the garage. Good thing from the looks of those pics!

Anyway, keep goin on the turbo project. It'll be worth it when it's all said and done! We're all excited to see the results!

I'm sure that svx that got hit will be up 4 sale really quick or sitting in an insurance auction yard for being totaled out.

(Sitting near the beach in sunny southern CA where it hardly ever changes weather...less than 1.5 inches of rain this year)

weather disaster in socal: when people forget to close their sunroofs and windows when it sprinkles

Wow you don't know Yoda3000?
He has the same exact picture of the hail ball in hand in his thread "Life Ruined, Please Advise" about his SVX getting hailed.
