Headlight short
So I had my drivers side headlight go out sometime before my car died with a bad transmission. Well almost a year later, with a new transmission!, I replace that headlight. Now, less than a week later that headlight is apparently, and I say apparently b/c I don't believe that's what it is, is burnt out...
So I take a step back, and think about it, I've noticed my night time driving to be a bit dark, and started to look at the headlights every now and again. They have been intermittently going on and off. I don't really understand. I've tried turning them on and off to see if it makes a difference, and it doesn't. It just kind of chooses when to work. Which brings me to the part that's most unsettling. I assume I either have A) a short or B) somethings possibly blown? Either makes me uncomfortable, b/c until recently I've not been much of a mechanic, but now I'm really coming into my own with this stuff, but have yet to really understand everything. So any advice would be gladly read. Thank you Jordan

Re: Headlight short
Thats what I would check first. The wires/plug might just need to be secured. Could be comming off when you hit a bump, but not far enough to stay off. Check that first and see what happens. Also could clean the connections.

Re: Headlight short
Sorry for my delay in response, I looked into this. As was noted, it is a loose connection. I can push on the front headlamp connection and it'll come back on, then as before, I hit bumps, rocks, etc. it goes off.
I've tried to get it to clip in properly, and I'll think that I've fixed it, but apparently I've not correctly fixed it. So what do I do to make the darn thing stay in?
