Smile Keep my svx

Hello.

I have been trying to sell my SVX for a some time now, but I decided to keep it because i can’t get what i want for it.
So my plan is to buy the basic 5MT kit made by Smallcar from noe in Finland.

I have a Legacy 2.5L N/A tranny from a Legacy Gen.3. I can also get a R180 differential with 3.90 like the tranny LSD diff.

Will the N/A tranny hold up to the power of the SVX engine or go with a turbo tranny?
What clutch should I use for N/A tranny and I would like to have one that is comfortable to drive.

Will the R180 rear diff with STi axles bolt right up to the rear hub?

The other parts I need to buy are the timing belt kit from Subaru, oil seals for the engine. etc
I need to overhaul the stock brakes; I don't think any others bolt right up.
.

Re: Keep my svx

I've been running a 5-speed out of a 1.8 NA Impreza for about 12 years now, with no problem.....if you plan to race it, or beat on it, then maybe go with a stronger tranny, but if driven normally, the EA trans will be fine
