Re: Welcome to our newest member: Tokyo-KT

Very cool bilstein custom suspension... maybe someone in the US could also offer a similarly assembled product, perhaps.

The car looks fantastic, and I had guessed it to be Subaru's World Rally Blue Pearl, rather than Nissan's blue, but either way, it looks great.

It fairly similar to what I have imagined building when restoring an SVX here in the US, with a few slight changes for my preference.

Re: Welcome to our newest member: Tokyo-KT

soiwulf, your suspension is just what I was wanting to do on my svx.

Do you know of any svx owner running the ARAGOSTA suspension by FLATT racing?

Currently I have imported the FLATT half-spoiler,and Dual stainless catback (on the way from japan as we speak).

I also have the delta sides and grill, A strut tower brace that a seller by flattnanese sold on YJA, the BOXER jdm engine cover and Alcyone tail panel, JDM hood emblem and silverspears polyurethane front sway bar bushings. I currently have cross drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic pads and stainless steel brake lines. I used to run ENDLESS SSY brake pads(very expensive). However, they are impractical for daily use, they grind when cold, they smooth out as they warm up- as they are intended for track use. Still have these with most of thier life on them. See attachments.

I still plan to upgrade to thier cold air intake pype, and suspension. I know it is very expensive, I have been saving up money for quite some time. Great things don't just happen overnight.

Unsure if the FLATT ECU upgrade will help a non JDM svx as those were made for use with the JDM SVX. Does anyone know why a US SVX could not run this upgraded JDM ecu. Engine wise it should control the same, however it may have to do with the different layout and control of the electronics?

I plan to do one suspension upgrade and do it right the first time. With the aragostas with the roberuta's and some nice 19" gun metal volk TE-37's with some Toyo's.

I have seen the image on the front and side.
However, a rear image was not seen. It might not have the image anywhere.

By the way,There was off-line meeting on last Sunday.
I asked various people prototype SVX. It seem not to be in Ota City now.
In the rumor now, it seem not to be in Ota City.
It seems to have been moved to the nearby city.

The wing of prova has not been put on the market any longer.
The owner in Japan who has it hardly sees.

Re: Welcome to our newest member: Tokyo-KT

Hey Tokio-KT have you seen this thread. The prototype SVX you could have seen had a different style rear. Maybe this design was similar to the SVX S4-II rear you are interested in. Just a thought.
SEE HERE >http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...prototype+rear
(scroll down the first page about halfway to see the rear end)

Welcome to the forums. It's awesome to have a Japanese connection finally! As far as aftermarket parts it seems that you guys deal with the same dead ends we deal with here in the states. I noticed the blue Alcyone emblem. I'd love to get my hands on one of those!

As far as suspension goes, it seems that you guys have some pretty interesting custom ideas that seem pretty cool. Thanks for sharing!

Re: Welcome to our newest member: Tokyo-KT

Hello, Johnybeas.

A blue emblem was made from DIY.

Clear parts are separated from the plinth the emblem. When the knife is used, it is good.

Black painting of the other side of clear parts is cut down with the sandpaper.
When painting peels off, it polishes with the compound.

It paints in blue.

It returns with the double-faced tape based on clear parts and it completes it.

Easiness!
