Let it SNOW!

10-12" in Carbondale.

I'm so excited. I predict donuts in some empty parking lot tonight.

Re: Let it SNOW!

Meh, it was 60 degrees here at 7 in the morning on a cloudy day.

I may actually go to an outdoor hot tub if it's this nice tonight.

Lucky... I'd love to be rid of the white curse. I detest the snow.

Re: Let it SNOW!

I need to get better tires before I can really unleash the full potential of my svx in the snow. For now its fun enough pulling the ebrake and fishtailing back and forth for 2 or 3 blocks only being able to steer into it.

This morning though, decided I "needed" to get something from wally-world and took out my parents durango. Whippin that thing around on unplowed roads with 4wd is a lot of fun. And for some reason people look at you funny when you are going down the road sideways

I cannot spell the tire properly but here goes anyway.

Get Nokian Hakkaepellita winter tires. I think they are made in Finland and come through Canada to the states. Good Luck.

Yeah, I will get tires as soon as I have money lol, and that won't be for awhile as there are other things that need attention-namely the things mentioned in my sig Thanks for the suggestion tho
I am also used to driving with crappy tires. Last winter I had bald, and I mean bald(the wear bars were starting to wear on the fronts) tires on my grand prix GT and was able to get through our record snowfall season just fine. Would purposely go out driving in 10 inches of snow and never got stuck. Its all about knowing how to drive in this stuff more than anything.

And just to add, just saw some snow reports-areas of milwaukee have 12+ inches of snow but its about done.

Last winter I did a lot of work at A&B Process in Stratford, WI. Is Sherboredom, WI near Stratford?

Sheboredom is what us locals refer to our boring city(we also refer to it as Shevegas http://shevegas.com/ ). Its actually Sheboygan and stratford is about 4 hrs northwest of here. I am located literally halfway between Green Bay and Milwaukee.

Its a city of about 50k and we call it Sheboredom because there is almost nothing to do here unless you enjoy frequenting the bars. There are some city blocks that have 3 bars on one street corner. There are also some bars that are neighboring churches of all things and 75% of the people in our jail are for DUI's. If you like drinking, you would feel perfectly at home.

Also, past 10pm the only things open are wal-mart, some gas station/convenience stores, a few fast food places and of course bars.

I could add a lot more but this isn't the place. Perhaps there should be a thread in the 'Not exactly...' for everyone to list all the things that make the place they live a s**thole. And then we could vote on the worst city to live in.

Got a mall? Cause if not, I've got you one upped. Where I live is EXACTLY the same as you have described... Terribly boring place..

hahaha, yeah we have a mall-technically. Although there are more empty spaces than there are stores. Thats another big joke here. I guess what makes it worse is the fact that there are several other cities somewhat close that have about the same population but have bigger malls that are actually filled with stores, better selection of restaurants, etc. I think you get the point.
