Yep...thanks Dave. I'll give it a shot and report back. Nice to save a few bucks with projected gas prices at $4/gallon this summer

I understand it's just for OB1, not enough call for an OB2 version to make it worthwhile.

I have this chip & wired, but I am afraid to try 87. With prices soaring, I have to give it a second look.

j/w, why use 87 when its more expensive?
if the choice is between 89 and 87, and 89 is cheaper...

89 octane has always been an average of .10 more than 87 octane... in GA,

87 octane - $3.23
89 octane - $3.33
93 octane - $3:53...

alright so i bought and installed the chip
part of the installation involved wiring a switch to the ECU

my question is, what exactly does the switch do?

switched one way, the voltage is on and the other, voltage is off, right?
and if that's the case, what doest that mean?
i can only drive using 87 octane when the switch is switched one way?
and what would happen if it were switched the other way?

I think, if I read correctly, that voltage off (switch open) is the performance tune and closing the switch toggles to 87 octane mode.
