My Key Came Out?

Well I tried to search, but it doesn't allow to search for terms less than 3 characters soo.

I've always had this problem but it was always in the back of my head until someone else drove her home for me today.

I can pull they key out at ANY stage - Acc, ON etc - I haven't tried it with the car running and do not intend to. The problem, the key comes right out, but the car stays on - the radio all that.
AND if i dont turn the car all the way to OFF say inbetween ACC and OFF it BEEPS and BEEPS which in the end drains my battery.

Anyone else have this problem? What can I do?

Yep, mine does it. Worn tumblers in the lock cylinder. You can get little rebuild kits for the cylinder, they work alright, we do it on customer's cars occationally. I kind of like it, I can park my car anywhere and leave it on, take the key with me and lock it so no one takes it. Of course someone could break the window and still take the car, but that stuff doesn't happen in my town.

haha, mine does that, i always thought it came like that!... so you don't have to turn your car off to get the mail. i show it off all the time, people always think it's cool and convenient, they're jelous

One of mine does that and it sometimes has a problem making a connection when I try to start it.
