Oh, the MT donor, and my second, bought in Phoenix, 2002.

Both cars were in very rough shape.

A 1991 Legacy wagon. had 140k when it came here. We ran it 22k, then it was KLOBBERED by a full sized Dodge van while parked.
I bought it back, hammered it out and used it for my first auto-X car!!

I still have it and it is in primer with a really loud exhaust system.

It is resting on the planet MRAF. I may press it back into service while the red Outback undergoes 'metamorphis' and becomes a real, live, turbo auto-X car.

As the owner of a working 85 XT, that pic hurt my heart!!!

Mine has 'CAT TRACKS' on it, but will fire right up w a booster pak! I even built it it's own carport last year cause the tarp 'chafed' the paint.

The only time my XT hits the street, it either has a 'dealer' tag or a tow dolly hooked on. The most I have driven it was at a 3 day show 2 years ago, or auto-X. I have too many cars to tag them all, so I only tag 4 in winter and 6 in summer. The other 38 have to sit. ( 9 Subi's, 2 tagged year round)

The story goes some random girl drove the car, my friend riding shotgun, very late at night out in the boonies.
They were doing "90" in what I believe is a 35 zone, missed a turn, and fell into a large ditch. They were able to drive away but the frame (unibody) was bent. The air ride was totally shot.

In that picture in particular he tried pulling it out of the grass with his S-10, but caught it on a felled tree, hence the shearing of the front bumper.

The black one was FWD, and I intended to ship it up to put the MT in, but it never happened. I lended my friend the grey one while I was in PHX and he bashed it up pretty good, losing a fender, mismatching the wheels, put rice stickers all over it. Tranny felt like goo when I came back.

here's my current list..

1990 legacy 4 dr sedan
1991 legacy wagon
1989 (whatever it was before Tom cut the body off and put that GT 40 body on it)
1985 XT turbo 5 sp 4wd coupe
1989 hatchback 'woods car'
1988 DL wagon
1985 DL wagon parts car
1997 Outback Limited wagons (2) one red, one black, ain't drove neither of them since TODAY)
1991 legacy sedan that I really need to go pick up
1993 legacy wagon (bought for parts)
In my possession, but not owned by me yet, an SVX that needs an engine and a few cosmetic parts.

OOOPS!! I said I only had 9 subi's, I guess I needed a REASON to count them..

AND the junkyard that took my garbage truck away still owes me THREE subarus before our deal is complete!

The last subi I got from him, I fixed for $300. and sold for $1600.

No one else had a Justy as their first Subaru???

I loved our Justy. We could drive it like we stole it and it would never let us down.

The 88 Justy was our first and my SVX was the second.

My first was a 96 Legacy Brighton wagon stick that I bought in reaction to the poor winter drivability of my 92 Ford Aerostar. I loved this car and quickly bought my wife a 92 Legacy front wheel drive sedan. That was a nice little car. We sold that to get another Legacy Brighton wagon. It's a 97 that my teenage daughter now drives. I sold my 96 wagon to a friend for his son to drive. My wife now has a 2001 Legacy GT ltd sedan which we love. And, of course, I now have my 94 SVX. I tell my friends and co-workers about Subarus. But they keep buying Hondas and Toyotas.... Oh well, I'll keep buying Subbies....

My first one was my 93 SVX. I still love it and it is #1 in my book.

My first was a 95 Impreza 1.8 AWD coupe.
Then a 98 Legacy GT 2.5
Then a 98 Impreza RS 2.5
Then a 92 SVX
Now a 2001 Impreza WRX
Now a 1994 SVX
I loved every one of them, but untill Subaru finds some better designers, I wont be buying any of the newer cars Now if I could only find a 98 JDM WRX
