You can take the cat out of the alley, but you can't take the alley out of the cat!
Our latest friend, Sweety, the garbage can siamese, is still an alley cat. We have dragged him inside 6 1/2 months ago, when he was about 6 weeks old. We gave him all his shots, when he tried to 'nail' one of the shes, we had him cut. He is the only one that will steal food from the table. He is the only one that will grab a piece of food that falls from the table. He will lay in the coldest room of the house and hang out at the corner with the biggest draft,( when both of the other cats are hanging on to anything warm) I caught him hiding under the wood burner the other day though. He was sitting with his back legs in front of him, bent in the middle, leaned up against the flue. He was 'secretly' absorbing heat, but when he was caught, he put himself back into exile in the cold room. The next time anyone caught him absorbing heat, he had jumped into the recently stopped dryer, while wife was going to get a basket to put laundry in. His secret is safe, ( yuck, yuck) He has NO USE for people, heat, offered food, etc, ( as long as there are witnesses) He is a sweetheart when it comes to petting etc. He just doesn't want anyone to think they 'own' him...

seems obvious that "car" was meant to have a "t" at the end rather than "r" in the title...
