Some particulate in a transmission is ok to be in there, its when u flush it and get it all stirred up and get it up in the valve bodies and viscous clutches, etc. just take two pieces of glass with sand between them and thats what particulate in ur clutches is like. So just drain and refill and its all good.. and drain the TC as well. Im looking into a trans cooler and shift kit to install soon... it shifts beautifully and i want to keep it that way.. and save me 2-3 grand

My 92 has 130,000 km on it and doesn't tick, except if it is left alone for a week or so. The oil drains out of the top part of the engine if left too long. There is a modest tapping when first started until the oil gets up there again..

Molyslip works wonders.

I am supremely confident to say that most all Subaru's have some sort of a tick to them. I know when I was "OOT AND ABOOT" test driving the '04 STi's, I noticed a faint knocking/ticking noise. I think it all has something to do with the design of the Boxer engine, cause I have even heard an Uber faint knock/tick on the new Porsche's. Don't scare yourself at this point.
My first SVX had almost 200,000 miles on it and it never knocked or ticked. My new SVX knocks and ticks every now and again. Most likely your injectors.

No worries.
