The explosion

Well guys it happened as i have said, but this time it took 6 days instead of the usual 4. it destroyed around $1.5 Million in cars and property. there were no death, lots of injured people, and between those an American reporter... , i guess Syria wants a spanky... and we want peace...

We Finally Got IT !!!!!

I am glad to announce, with gr8 pleasure, that yesterday the 26th of April, 2005 , the last SCUM Syrian soldier got out from our country. After 30 years of occupation, mistreating the Lebanese people, stealing 40% of our airport, seaport, casino profits, besides stealing from other sources and all the government 10% VAT tax and incurring us for that a 60 billion $ in debt, for the first time in my life i see a large smile on people's faces.
But the thing is still not over, we still have some illegal Syrian workers around here (yeah, for the first time we call the illegal , they used to work without a permit) and some intelligence guys still exists...
Also, our @$$h le president still needs a kick out of his position, he is a trator to his country, a big thief and a murderer...
New ministers were elected now, and the minister of defense appointed my dad's cousin (Said Eid) as his chief of staff (watch out guys from me now i became a big S.H.!.T now not anymore a small S.H.!.T ).....j/k

SO CHEERS GUYS, AND IN 27th MAY, 2005, my birthday, i will be presenting my 94 Independance Edition SVX with all the new mods !!! HURRAY !!!

No, not all of them, only those who sold their countries, like our president...
I dunno, maybe you don't like President Bush, but i like him... he stated that if the ministers get rid of our current president, he would help us gather 6 billion $ to help us pay a part of our debt...

Silver Spear,

Congratulations. I saw on the news that the last contingent of Syrian troops left Lebanon yesterday.
I hope it works out for everyone there.

Good Luck.

My distaste isn't directed at bush in general as much as the system that put him there, every 4 years in the primaries (first election) I see some really great canidates on each side, but since each of the parties votes for seperate canadites on separate ballots we wind up with a left and a right canidate in the final election, the canidates with a more ballanced view get passed over.

As far as bush goes, some days I think he makes great decitions, some days I think he dosn't, so if you ask on a bad day I might not like him...

Because of the job that my dad has i have had the honor of meeting numerous senators, representatives, both presidential candidates, and several aides to Pres. Bush. You can tell almost immediately who is there as a career politician (example- Sen. Ted Kennedy) and who is there with legitimate concerns abnout their constituency (example Rep. Jim Ryan). President Bush was one of the most down-to-earth, genuine, and friendly PERSON I have ever met. John Kerry was like meeting an actor who was constantly in panicked state of mind that he was going to forget his lines. He was also polite but, not overly friendly. He's not a stone cold puppet like some people would like to portray him but, the voters did definitely make the correct choice back in November. I'm not in any way shape or form saying Bush is perfect either, so don't misinterprept this essay.
Just a lonely Bush-supporter living in Massachusetts voicing his humble opinion.

I got the same feeling about kerry, I would have liked to see John McCain run against Bush, but it seems that often the actor makes it over the others McCain seemed to have a genuine concern for those he represented or was a really good actor, and Kerry I felt wasn't even a good actor, more of a good whiner.

Guys, no offense for those who doesn't like him, but if you think of it a little bit, Bush is making the World a better and safer place. This thing is somehow against USA's welfare, because now it won't be able to sell more weapons as before when it was supporting dictatorial countries...
Yes USA was supporting the terrorism before, the proof? it asked Syria to invade Lebanon in 1975 which stayed here until 2005 (that's 30 years !!) but after September 11, it decided to destroy all terrorism from the world: Starting with Afghanistan, then Iraq, then Syria and Lebanon... there is left IRAN...

So you see guys, with wars over, USA cannot sell more weapons anymore as it is doing these days...

Hee! With Bush in office, we are selling more than enough weapons to ourselves... I'm not a huge Bush fan. He may have decreased terrorism on the European continent, but over here.... Well... We are going to have a problem with all those Iraqi children growing up without parents. Crazy thought, but that emotion causing thoughts of revenge is alive and well. A "Lot" of innocent Iraqi families have lost everything, including their members, so we have only succeeded in breeding terrorism for the continent over here.

I spent 6 months in Beirut back in '83 on the USS Austin, LPD-4. (A.u.s.t.i.n.-Always underway, stationed temporarily in Norfolk. ) That was the period that terrorists blew up the "Airport Hilton", and killed some 283 Marines off of my ship. I can attest poor Lebanon has been going through this for decades!

What really amazed me of the Lebonese people is the amazing spirit they seemed to have. This was during the Israel sequence where they put themselves in the mess. (Something about the syrians were going over the border and messing with their towns.) Everynight there were huge illumination rounds in the air continuously, and tracer fire everywhere. But the Lebonese people just went about their business like nothing! There was a huge farris wheel on the shore, and it was operational nightly. Women were walking with groceries underneath the Holiday Inn which had huge holes in it... The sound of gunfire all around. Of course, I was looking through the ships "big eyes" on the signal bridge, but it seemed as if they weren't even phased about it.

I still have a sore taste in my mouth about the time though. Lost a lot of friends there. And to add salt to that, guess which ship was assigned to go dig through the rubble with bodybags slung over their shoulder?

WOOOOOOOOOOW, man! i am sorry for that, your ship and the bodybags, but guess who killed those 283 marines in Lebanon? Terrorism! (Terrorism = Hizbullah)
Bosh is saving the world from them, from terrorism... casualties will be high, either civilians or military, there is a proverb over here that says:"if the thing doesn't get bigger, it won't get smaller..."
Look nobody used to love the Iraqi people and Saddam Hussein more than we did, when we (the christians) were fighting the syrians in 1989 and 1990, Saddam Hussein used to send us ships and ships of Weapons and Gas... but i tell you that the Islamic culture is based in itself on Jihad and Kamikaze style like what you have seen in Sep 11... so you got the message... right?
And what you said about us is very true, people used to go shopping and stuff despite the bombings, and believe me, our building got hit by a 240mm bomb shell when i was just 11 years old and far around 300 feet from it... and when the Syrians entered our town, they were shooting at whatever they see, we were going in our 280ZX, when they started shooting at us, so i panicked, and from there i saw my first white hair... , now i am 26 and i have some white hair on the sides... ...
Lebanon only saw its independance from 1948 till 1975, before that we were rules for 500 years by the Ottoman (Turkia) and after that by the Syrians... so now will be a new era in our Future, i will post some pics on Wednesday...

Yeah... Definitely terrorism.

I'm just glad its finally seems to be working out. It's been such a long time since this all started. Its really and truly great that Lebanon is finally going to enjoy being a sovereign nation as it should be.

I have a friend here from Beirut. He's here on a student visa, and is trying to find a company to sponsor him for a work visa. He doesn't want to go back. Not because of political reasons, he's scared of the job market there. He says his family keeps telling him the economy is not so hot right now. Is that true?
