Not to mention us Rednecks in SVXes, but, that's beside the point.

Gee, Nick, I have an extended cab, long bed F-150, with about 127K miles, I-6 engine. Am I banished to redneck status?

Be nice, Steve. Lest I sneak over to the bank and take pix of the rear of the SVX and post them for all to see.

Wait until he hits around 80-100k then he'll have to rebuild the motor and turbos, that sucks. Unless of course he drives it with a lot of respect and has never pushed it hard.

In the case of most 2nd gens, they have high miles and usually have been rebuilt at least once. They also fall into the hands of hot rodders who run the hell out of them until something breaks. Also if one has low mileage, chances are the motor in it is going to go bad as well, letting a 7 sit for too long is asking for trouble.

$7000 or under, good looking and black...

Well, you can definately find another SVX for that. Or another DSM. As for bigger tahn a CRX, I have always been partial to the AWD Eagle Summit/Dodge Plymouth Colt/Mitsubishi Expo micro minivans. They have a decent anount of storage capacity in them, come with a 5speed(with the 2.4ltr engine) and should be relatively cheep as far as insurance goes. That might not be to your taste, but it'll get you something till you can afford something a little nicer.
