I heard the 91-92 All-Tracs weren't very reliable, but in 93 they fixed some stuff. I wouldn't mind having one of those myself. I imagine they only came in manual though.
Like comp_jas said, check out Audi. I like the '90/91 Audi Quattro Coupe, but again, I think it only came in manual. Oh yeah, (1991-1993) All-Tracs are so much harder to find than SVX's... Last edited by BordeauxComet; 09-26-2004 at 02:49 PM. |

OK, I'll try to help. I know of an SVX that is Liquid Silver, priced for 4200 but will negociate, and will probably not be going anywhere for a while. If you are interested, let me know. Worst part is that it is located in Idaho, so you could fly out and drive back.
Just a thought.

I just sold a '91 3000GT VR-4 and boy do i miss it!!!
while they're great cars, they are not great winter cars. the stiff suspension, low clearance, and high weight all contribute to pretty rough winter handling. the flip side is that they're great summer cars, and you can find a '91 or '92 VR-4 in good shape (needing some minor stuff) for as low as $5,000 if you look around. check out www.3si.org the only reason i sold mine was that if i sold that and my motorcycle (which is still for sale) that i'd be able to buy a '93-'95 rx-7. i bought my SVX as a winter vehicle because there is no chance in hell that an rx-7 would make a good winter car. |

About 130k on the clock, everything is in good shape when I drove it. No wierd sounds at all. Can't find the VIN. All around good shape and good paint, good interior. No spoiler. And yes, the wheels are on the right way. The guy just needs to get it off of his car lot. He had a 25th Anniv. '93 there for about a week and sold it. This guy loves his Subarus.

What about an XT6 or RX for staying with Subaru's.
If you want AWD and some power for cheap then get an older Talon/Eclipse. Don't forget to buy some winter tires for whatever you purchase!

because XT6s are so much easier to find than SVXs
I know of an RX Turbo for sale out here in oregon with 120k on the clock for $1000.00 - but I'm thinking of buying that and rallying it in the 2 liter class. Good luck! It took me 13 years to find the right svx in my price range at the right time in my life - but I have it now. Patrick

You can get a 1st gen DSM (Talon/Eclipse/Laser) with AWD and turbo for pretty cheap. I don't think the Laser's had AWD though.. Expect to pay about $3000 for a decent 1st gen, and with about $2000 in mods you can make it FAST!
