Waiting is agony.... (Never thought I'd wish for a weekend to pass by fast!)

Well, as I missed a bit of information my credit union needed for my loan application, I now have to wait until Monday to know whether or not my loan was approved for the SVX mentioned in this thread:

(Damn credit unions/banks! Why can't they be open on weekends?! )

http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...threadid=21253

The good news is.. I talked the current owner down to $4,000 flat.

Dependent on the loan status, she'll be going in to a local Subaru dealership and under the care of an SVX expert, she'll have a complete physical to make sure there's no nasty surprises lurking about.

If the checkup goes well, the owner and I will then be heading to his bank to pay off the rest of his lein and put the remaining money into his account. I'll get the title right then and there...

..and she'll be mine!

(For those too lazy to check out the other thread, picts of her are in my locker. She's a Polo Green '95 LSi with 115k miles. ..and, of course... If all goes well, there will soon be new picts of yours truly with her... )

Wish me luck!

--Wulf

(P.S. Yes... I KNOW her front wheels are on backwards... )

Wheels

Hi Wulf, Nice to hear from an almost new owner. And in that vein, at least one of your wheels is backwards. The spokes go towards the front. You probably have one on the other side going backwards. If not, then someone who had it before you got the wrong wheel as a replacement. Take care, BOBB

*laughs* I should've put that in the first post (I think I will now...). Two people have pointed that out to me now... It's one of the first things I'll take care of when I pick her up..

Question Bonnet Logo

hey welcome aboard...
Noticed in your locker the bonnet thingy...its the Alcyone horns ..our Aussie cars have the Subaru constellation badge, do all US cars have the Alcyone badge
However on my red car I do have that bonnet badge as I couldn't resist it when I saw it on a japanese imports bonnet ...and I got it for a great price from a local wrecker.."if you can get it off you can have it .." ..Done !!

Ah no... All the US SVX's (As far as I know, I'm still rather new to the SVX scene...) came with the standard stars.

I blatantly stole the image of the horns from svxistentialist's forum avatar for this thread: http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...threadid=21266 (when I was trying to figure out what it was...).

...and aye.. That is a great price for it.. I've noticed that SVX-Motorsports has them for sale for $80.00. Something I'll have to consider in awhile after I get done with the prelims on my new SVX (fluid/filter changes, license, registration, fixing the backwards wheels , etc...)
