Re: Subaruparts.com closed?

I just received a Valentine's Day greeting and 15% off coupon from them, so I guess the answer is NO, they're not closed.

DAGNABBIT! That's twice now I've seen a nice coupon code just a few days after making a big order.

Their codes, usually, are also tied to an email address valid on their subscription list. Best to just sign up for it if you buy anything from them on occasion.

Yeah, the problem isn't that I don't see the codes, though, the problem is I have now placed two sizable orders a matter of days before the codes were released.

I just ordered the last few pieces I needed for a timing belt change.

Re: Subaruparts.com closed?

Phoned them 2:00 PM today, their time, regarding my order. Just got a message that they were closed. I guess I'll give up.

This is exactly my experience. Yet the parts I ordered online were delivered. Good thing I did not need to return anything. How would you get a RMA when they aren't taking calls or answering emails?

I had to do that with them. I ordered a hood latch which is a safety issue. After two weeks of trying to get in touch with them unsuccessfully to see if they were going to send it to me I ended up buying one somewhere else and emailed them and left a message saying since I couldn’t get in touch with them I was canceling my order. The one from them came by Fedex a few days later and I refused delivery and I disputed it with my credit card who took it off. A real pain but I couldn’t wait forever and as far as I knew like you, they had closed.

Re: Subaruparts.com closed?

Just got off the phone with them. Those four transmission mount bolts I didn't think I had I came across this morning and wanted to removed them from the order I placed last night since they were back ordered and might delay the other bolts I need by 4 days or more. They didn't answer at 8 am like their automated message said, nor a little after 8:30 like their site says, but a little after 10 I tried again and they picked right up and fixed me up in less than two minutes

I'm more worried about those HID I bought shipping from China. I've recieved only two updates on them so far, the last I will have recieved a week ago tomororw just saying it was arrived at a sorting station in NY.

Re: Subaruparts.com closed?

I e-mailed subaruparts.com to cancel my order and, they confirmed within a couple hours (after being ignored multiple times). Placed the same order with Capital Subaru (another site in Texas with parts schematics and discounts) and, they replied that they couldn't fill the order due to higher shipping costs than their on-line store calculates. It was a bumper cover with associated clips and bolts. Went to my local Subaru dealer and they got it in 3 days. Retail but, I have it and am going to paint and body. No shipping cost brings it about even.
Probably more than the car is worth but love has no bounds when the pigs fly.

Re: Subaruparts.com closed?

Ordered 2 struts 2/17/12 (yep, the last day of the 15% Valentine's discount). One was shown in stock. Both arrived yesterday in one monstro box. No muss, no fuss.

Stuff I've received lately has been very well packaged for the cross-country trip.

Re: Subaruparts.com closed?

I won't order from them even though they are 3hrs away. I just ordered stuff from Jackie again and the price was a bit more but overall cheaper because they charge actual shipping. Ordered it Tuesday afternoon and had it here Monday (this included her having to get parts from a warehouse). The last time I ordered something from Subaruparts.com they took their sweet time shipping it, an annoyance when you need to get a car up and running.
