Usually when a thread is used for an auction, the member themself posts his or her bid in the thread. This shows the time that the bid was given, order of bid (by posted time) and that the bid is offered by the member themself. This type of auction is not very open to bidders. It isn't that I don't trust you, but it is not very transparrent to show what is really happening and does not show the bidding process.

Your process is you telling us that members have offered different amounts of money for the rack. We don't really know for sure if you are moving up the amounts or if members are offering you their bid. How are you getting the offer or bid amounts and from whom? Why don't they post their own offer? This seems a little shady.

I am sorry if this looks like I am picking on you, but Administrators have discussed this and have decided that this is a liability for the Site. We have a For Sale forum which allows members to buy and sell items, but auctions can be done on ebay. We have decided to close this thread so there are no disputes. We will be upgrading to new software which will have auction software in the near future. Thanks for your cooperation.
