"Mt. St. Helens Drive" 2nd Annual Portland/ Vancouver DRIVE!

So thanks to the awesome feedback and great success from last year's "Columbia River Gorge Drive," Mark and I are in the process of putting together this year's gathering.

What: "Mt. St. Helens Drive"
When: Saturday, September 20th

Just like last year, we are keeping the "stop details" secret. Of course, the title does give one just enough info to know what to expect. Mark and I are going to do our mock drive very soon to hammer out details, including our initial starting point. Please keep posted for more details

Assuming I get the 86 GL-10 painted, and the SVX fixed, and I have $ to spare (which I should) I will be there!

i should be able to make it, as long as nothing else goes wrong with my svx. Someone decided to hit the driver side door and fender, while in a parking lot .

Grrr...yeah I just got my SVX back from the Body shop after someone backed into my rear bumper...AND I had to have it in the shop twice because they didnt match the paint well the first time...


ANYWAYS I officially got the day off...woot! So I'll be posting details as soon as Mark and I have it all together, but a couple of things for sure...

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 20TH
Start time will be the "usual" for such events (10am most likely) and the ending time will be 5pm-6pm as usual. I only mention a "unofficial" time frame so those that need to figure out any general details now can start working on them.

And it's going to be around the Mt. St. Helens area, correct?

I only ask because I can send out a "general information" type email ASAP to my list to give people an early heads up.

Mark and I spoke last night and are going to have exact details after we drive it next Thursday. We will definately be making our meeting places as near to the St. Helens roads as we can while still making it very close to the freeway to make it easy to find/get home. Because it will be a little farther north we're hoping it saves a little time on the drive down for our Seattle area members.

I just got back from a trip to the St. Helens area and would love to take the SVX on those roads (I borrowed an impreza). I'm regretting not getting a "ashhole" t-shirt when I had the chance, so I was hoping to stop at the tacky souvenir shop and the delicious drive-through coffee stand just off of I-5 on the main road to St. Helen's.
