Need Advice...New Car

Hey guys, well I've trolled here for a while now and still love my SVX, but I found a XT6 recently and being the subaru enthusiast that I am I just couldn't overlook it. So I thought I would come here and talk to you guys and get opinions tips and advice on things to look for and if I should really consider it. What is the Aftermarket parts scene look like, even existent? Says it uses hydraulic liquid for it's steering how hard is this to find. Parts, how hard to come by? any Info or websites that you can direct me too would be very appreciated. Thanks

-Joe

What Jeff said....no aftermarket for it...
the special power steering fluid is still available through the dealer.
Over all a really fun car, especailly for driving on the twistys, which you should have lots of access to, living in NC

If it still has the Air suspension on it, expect to swap it to a more standard coil over set up as the air ride system is usually problamatic once it gets as old as any XT6 is now...

Yeah, get the fluid from the dealer... DO NOT run regular power steering fluid, it will burn up the pump and they are VERY expensive (~$1200 from the dealer), they're cool cars, I've never owned/driven one, but the suspension out of one is under my 87 turbowagon

What was with the windshield wipers/4WD story? I saw it pop up in another forum. Is it true? That you had to put it in 4wd to get the wipers to work, if you haven't heard that before.

All XT6's were either AWD or FWD. As to the question of the wipers....Never heard of that.
I'd like to see that info if you remember where it came from tho.
