Well ya know there is a state park nearby right?
It could just be an all SVX camping trip

Actually I think if we're going to do a cook-out, it could be a lunch thing, especialy if the rally is starting from a park again. It could start earlier, and end at the park for a mid-afternoon (say 2ish) lunch, then a "Conga-Line" of cars back to the hotel and the dinner could be held a little later, say 7:30ish. The dinner was a nice aspect of the weekend, the food was good, the company was good, and it was nice to have someone bring us our food and not have to stand in line to get it -----or have someone have to man the bbq pit/grill the entire time while people are mingleing. The only drawback to where the diner was (and this is really a minor thing) was that the rooms were seperated.

Each hotel has pluses and minuses. Overall, we like the Lancaster (Denver, PA) HI slightly better than this one. We agree with DIana.

However, I heard that this Holiday Inn is comissioning a statue of Jesse. The official unveiling is scheduled for next year's Reading SVX Meet.
The statue will be "Rockyesque", with Jesse raising both arms into the air in triumph. It will also have a bevy of "sweet young things" clustered around his feet loooking adoringly up at him.

Is that where you normally keep your drunks?

Birds of a feather . . . .

So, you made it back okay. Where'd you disappear to on Saturday? Glad to see you've signed up for #7. "D

We can hold the meet at the place where i work in Jersey if u want nice accomidations. Also dinner can be had in a hauge room and it is goooooooooood! Can't promise ya ill be working there by that time as I may be moving to philly for good at the end of summer. Parking, we would have the whole street to line with SVXi and such. But i liked where we were this past year. 1/4 mile strip was definately cool.

i thought the hotel was pretty nice, especially the pool and the sauna (even with the kids, who were a distraction). as for the linens, there was a placard to put out asking for fresh linens (i thought this was strange and offensive, i expect fresh every day when i'm paying that much for a room). the breakfast buffet wasn't much. the room was clean, large and the tv remote worked.

down side--no grits at breakfast

as for biscuits and gravey, only hardees' has em up in el norte, you have to get ued to the burritos i guess.
