Well, I picked "Patience" up at the tranny shop this morning and sent Shari back home with "The Twin."

She shifts like "buttah" but I'm concerned with a "thunk" on takeoff (mount?) They rebuilt the clutches, put in a new torque converter and changed the neutral safety switch.

After I almost hyperventilated over the cost, they removed the charge for the NSS. That reduced the bill to <choke> <choke> <gag> <choke> <gag> a little over 1,900.00.

I'm thinking about adopting the Harley slogan "Born to Lose" (since I could have owned a few with the money I've spent on the tranny for "Patience" alone). Or, perhaps I could use a variation: "Born Too Loose."

Nevertheless, my joy from the Reading meet has been tempered by the extraction of fundage from my non-existent savings.

In the 4-5 years that I've known you, how much total $ have you spent on repcaing/rebuilding the tranny in Patience?

Exclude normal (for you) maintenance.
