Was there a model year where they pretty much ironed out the questionable tranny issues? Or are they all about the same and tend to fail at the same mileage marker?

My understanding is, the stock oil cooler is inadequate to cool the gizzards, causing higher temps and causing trannys to prematurely seize? Ergo, adding a secondary oil cooler?

My search continues.
