Oops. That color was actually called "Plum Crazy." Sorry, it's been a long time since 1970.

That one sentence has so many hidden meanings and I'm actually going to refrain from further comment on it. -Johnny (I guard my stool carefully)

From http://www.askmen.com/money/successful/41b_success.html it has the following statement on chivalry
Help with her seat If an unaccompanied lady is sitting next to you, it is important that you help her be seated by pulling her chair out for her and gently pushing it back into place, with the lady seated of course. Is there another meaning?

I'm getting into this thread a little late BUT:::::>
Didn't the 2cv come with a TWO ENGINE option-One in the front-one in the back. I think they used it for the DAKAR RALLY!! The PACER also had the oversized passenger door. I guess that was so you could escape quicker if anyone saw you riding in it. The PT cruiser although not the prittiest thing on the road has helped the overall Dodge truck gas mileage(they are considered a truck) so much they have been able to start selling HEMI's again. AND LAST but not least: The Maryland State Police had 1959 Chevys until they found out the rears would lift off at speed making them a tad unstable. They went one better in 1960. they scrapped the 59's for 1960 Plymouth Furys...the ones with the three foot fins...They only lasted a year due to premature engine failure. They went back to Chevy in 1961 and got real trickey in 1963 with unmarked 406 4-speed Fords.

The 59 Chevy comment is right on. My mom's first car was a 59 Chevy convertible with the horizontal tail fins. At high speeds the rear end would lift up and made the car tricky to drive. My mom has always been the lead foot in our family. My mom's car growing up was a 1968 Olds Delta 88 with the 455 and posi rear. Dad decided to slow her down and got her a 1970 Plymouth Wagon, with a 383 no less. It wasn't until he snookered a slant-6 Aspen on her did she get raigned in!!!! She of course replaced that hunk with an Olds with a 350 V-8. She has a 2000 Olds Intrigue now with the 215hp 3.5 and is complaining it's to slow!!!! I think she is trying to talk my dad into a 300N when they come out. Rear wheel drive and a 350+hp Hemi.
