DNA model with a touch

.
Not sure if this should go under "Mod mania" :-) Small changes that, I think, transform how the car looks - wheels, brakes, ride height.

Re: DNA model with a touch

Yep, printed in resin. I would have loved to do it myself, but don't have the skills. I found a guy who models parts for scale models, including wheels and he did it for me, as well as a set of Brembo brakes and matching rotors. I did paint everything, so at least can take credit for that :-)

You may want to consider going into the wheelie bidness.

Thanks Ron :-) I have four sets of these 1/18 wheels/brakes for anyone else who wants to mess around with perfection :-)

Talking Re: DNA model with a touch

I'd bet the perfection has a price tag. Any comments?

$40 for CAD modelling of all parts (dirt cheap by American standards), $20 for a set of wheels, $15 for a set of tires, $8 for a set of brakes. Plus shipping from Ukraine. Everything 3D printed using resin, which allows for extremely fine detailing (they did the raised Brembo lettering on the calipers, which I totally didn't expect). I got five sets of everything, figuring I'd break stuff along the way. Still have four sets left if you want one :-)
