If someone is interested in a Laguna Blue with heated seats this one might be for you. This is not mine, I just found it on the Vancouver Craigslist:

Price seems a bit high for the mileage I think but relatively rare. The 1992 Teal that was on Craigslist a month or so ago with 20 000 miles went for $5000, maybe less!

This guy has sheister written all over him. Originally went for $45,000? Was the exchange rate that bad back then?!?!? Race car?!?! And no picture?

$45,000 Canadian.... nothing wrong here. Price is set based on market, not exchange rate. An STi today lists for $42,000 Canadian... down here it is US$37,000... with a near 1:1 exchange rate.

To some the SVX looks like a race car...

The thing I dont like is the

the svx for pics, sure you can see a svx but if you cant see what his looks like you could be in for a real surpise.
Granted most on craigslist would just go see it in person if they are interested.

RARE CAR not RACE car . Still $5,000 for an SVX it has to be real nice. I know we love them BUT they just don't demand good money YET.

Question...what are the consequences/rules etc for importing a car from Canada? I imported a WRX 5 speed and customs informed me that they would not tax me since donor car was from US but would if car was a Canadian car.

And I think at that time with the exchange rate one of our dollars only bought 65 cents US.

Actually, I know who he is. I almost bought some BBS rims off of him and at that time saw another '96 SVX in the driveway that belonged to his son. He said it only had 25 000 km on it 15 500 miles

The thing was it had been sitting there for over five years partially on blocks. I asked him if that was bad for the suspension but he didn't seem to think so. Anyway, I felt very sorry for the car.

One thing to remember about cars from Vancouver is very few of the ones I have seen have any rust issues.

HE pulled the ad . I checked only a day after you posted it and it is gone. I hope people start getting 7,000 + for their cars. That is a good thing .

I e-mailed the guy to let him know I posted his car on this forum and he sent me a response:

I often find people delete their ads on Craigslist not because they sold the car but because the re-posted the ad under a newer date. If you are interested in a car on Craigslist and it disappears best to search SVX on the appropriate one.
