quick horn question

Horn not working on 92 SVX. Fuse is okay. I can hear the horn relay click when closing the horn switch (steering wheel). I measured voltage at the horn itself with the horn switch closed and I only get about 0.3V. So my guess is a faulty horn relay? Do you agree? I would just replace without asking but they seem difficult to find online in Canada. I might need to order from the US.
Regards,
Gary

Re: quick horn question

Thanks Blacky for the wrenchmonkey link. That looks like the only way I can source a horn relay from Canada. Lots of options in the US. I did call a local Subaru dealer and they didn't have 1 in stock nor in their warehouse. They weren't sure if they could even get one and suggested buying from an online distributor.

Re: quick horn question

Holy Moly ! I must be getting old. That horn relay is WAY up under the dash and I can't seem to get my hand on it. Do I need to disassemble the lower dash to get at the horn relay?

Re: quick horn question

The lower Alcantara section of the dash is easily removable.

Re: quick horn question

I'm not sure how that lower section is attached (clips vs screws) and didn't want to risk breaking something. I managed to get my hand on the relay and pulled it off the bracket it was attached to. I probably won't be able to get the replacement back up there and reattached to the bracket, so I'll just let it hang up there.
