SVX dun broke
Well, I'll get right to the point...my baby stalled twice today. The first time I was at high end in 1st (5000 RPM) and it cut out, shifted to second, cut out, downshifted to first, went good for a few seconds in 2nd, and then died at a stop light. It started up after I held up traffic for one light cycle. So, I was keeping the RPM's up and it was fine. Then, I was slowing down for an accident, and it stalled immediately. I had enough speed to pull into a parking lot, and I sat there for about 15 minutes. Oil was good as was ATF. Here's my suspicion, and you all can help me out...I had 86 octane discount gas (the 86 octane was a mistake) and octane booster to cancel out the low octane of the gas. It was around 93?? degrees, so I'm thinkin it was just crappy gas, but I don't know. A mechanic I know said pressure on the fuel pump may be low. Anybody got any suggestions/ideas? Is there a way I can test the pressure on the fuel pump? All help is greatly appreciated.

when i put in 87, I get knockings on the engine. never stalled yet. You might want to check the pump or the injectors. seems like your pump is not pumping out enough or injectors are blocked. Try to add in a octane booster to see if it works.
In the future, try to put at least 91 octane in the tank. Lwin

The low octane fuel, I believe, is your culprit. The manual says to use low octane ONLY in emergencies. It may even take a while for your ECU to recover from the octane starvation. You might even want to take the ground terminal off your battery overnight to clear the memory and let it "re-learn" with the higher octane fuel.
