Still looking BIG BRAKE upgrade

Still considering upgrading the stock brakes and came across this company that sells a 6 piston brake system for the STI that has the same 5x 114 pattern as the SVX. Haven't contacted them but want to know if anyone has looked into this system ;http://www.alconkits.com/index.php/B...Brake-Kit.html

Re: Still looking BIG BRAKE upgrade

WOW !!!!

what a cost - nearly as much as most cars are actually worth!!

I just upgraded mine,

Pads from http://ebcbrakes.com/product/redstuff-brake-pads

Covered brake lines from http://svx-motorsport-accessories.st...rakandsus.html

Rotors from motorsport (above) www.r1concepts.com - full drilled/slotted & gold passivated

All shipped to me in New Zealand....and still only 40% cost of buying OEM from local Subaru agent here.

They make the car stop much better - with no fade......and a lot cheaper than what you are proposing.

Re: Still looking BIG BRAKE upgrade

Please use the search function, or check out the mod mania section. In there is a section including brakes and you will find threads on adapters that a few have made and some that are for sale as well as reasons why the STI brakes still need modification. Bolt pattern is only a fraction to consider when it comes to customizing brakes from another vehicle to fit.
