Warts on my hands

I've got a few warts on my hands and I've been wondering if I should use a pair of good tweezers and pick them off, as opposed to using the old dry ice trick. I'm curious if anybody has tried this and if so, have they experienced excessive bleeding, scarring, pain, etc. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks.

There is stuff at the drug store to fix you up. Quit playing with toads.

If you are game this works and it's not all that bad.

Get a lighted candle or whatever and heat the end of a large needle to steralise it. Stick the needle down into the wart until you feel it sting i.e. right through. Heat the needle with the candle until it stings/hurts and repeat. Its not too bad. If you have done a good job the wart may come right out otherwise it may take a couple of days.

I've done it with good success but totall deny any responsibility.

A good machete and a bottle of tequellia works too, or was that a good bottle of tequellia and a machete. or if your underage a good sodie pop and a bottle of tequellia, wait a minute what was the machete for? no just kidding.. I dont condone underage drinking wart removal as above.

a Dr would either burn or cut them off. you can rip a wart off easily. doesn't hurt all that much, but they bleed quite a bit and take a while to heal. you can also go to the store and buy the wart-be-gone products, but they take weeks to break down the wart...

warts are caused by a virus, so they can spread, so you may have reacurrances. consult your Dr on any future outbreaks.

any help for you?

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

As a kid, I had a recurring one on the back of my thumb...

Tried the over-the-counter stuff, didn't work.

Doctor starts with electrocution... (sp?) And 4 times later, it's still keeps falling off and regrowing.

Off to the specialist, where they used liquid nitrogen to "burn" it off. Two repeats, and haven't had a problem since.

And how many ounces of fermented wombat oil must be consumed before it's safe to try this little parlor trick?

Thanks for all the advice. I think I'll try the needle idea and have a bottle of scotch handy just in case things get too painful, or if I need a good sterile solution. Since warts can spread, if I ever meet any of you in the future, think twice before shaking my hand.

Classic!!

There are some good Irish ways to remove them too, but primarily involving liqour and any sharp implement close to hand!!
