in the weekend when i was driving around the place i had some guy in this matt black sr toyota coupe pull up beside me and tell me my svx was ugly. i couldnt be bothered with him but i said they the kinda car some people love and others hate.
but the svx is an beautifully engineered car that mite have some probs with but i still take one over most cars on the road

Funny thing about Toyotas... close your eyes for a sec and try to imagine a Toyota in your head, would you get a clearly defined shape same as if you think about a Honda or Mercedes or BMW or a Subaru?

Even tho it is the largest Japanese manufacturer of automobiles, they seem to be stuck with ugly cars without a clearly defined trend in shapes...

I haven't seen consistency in their designs either through their different models or same different version of one model...

I had two guys staring at my car this weekend asking if my window had a huge rainguard. I told them it was a real window and rolled it up in front of them and drove on. Then we met up again at the next light and talked. They were in complete awe because they weren't sure what kind of car it was. They said it looked japanese but it didn't sound like a japanese car. Then I smirked and said the svx.

Now, of course, looks are subjective, but I don't understand how people think the SVX is ugly.

If they think that, what else do they think? GL Wagons and Brats were great looking?

It's like they look at the low sales numbers, they see the funny windows, and they rationalize that hey, everyone must have thought it was ugly and that must be why it never sold.

Hey you "experts" different is the word you want. It's certainly not ugly.

People don't think it's ugly. I've gotten many compliments in the past 4 years.
