Welcome aboard! Trust me, if your used to, as you put it yourself, 80's gm crap, you're going to fall in LOVE with this car. Assuming you can get it in good nick, it'll likely be one of the most comfortable tourers you own

thanks for saving it. Do keep us informed of the progress you make with it

I guess my sarcasm is too thick for some.

"the lexus only requires oil changes at 233k" is meant that my car has 233k miles on it and all I have to do is change the oil in it for maintenance, sorry if you misunderstood what i meant.

and my list of cars currently owned is this, from old to new nothing spectacular.

1986 Fiero SE 2.8 5spd
1989 Plymouth Voyager turbo with in progress engine rebuild
1990 Pontiac 6000 SE "all wheel drive" production 1 of 1000
1990 Chevy Beretta GTZ high output quad 4 5spd
1991 LS400 234k miles all original /19's twotone leather hids
1992 Chevy Beretta GTZ race quad 4 1 of 1600
1995 Chevy Beretta with some mods (engine fire/awaiting time to fix)
1996 Grand Am GT 2.4 almost stock

My Beretta is built for road racing. It has all suspension work (bilsteins, eibachs, poly bushings, strut bars pretty much everything top notch you can get for it) It has a 13:1 compression motor wiseco pistons, Olds W41 spec cams, a 3.94 trans, spec clutch, fidanza flywheel, I am putting megasquirt on it and going to run e85 gas. I also have to put rear disk camaro brakes on it and some 12" rotors on the front. I also built a header for it, but decided it was tooo big (1 7/8") and I want full exhaust cause its too loud. I might put a roll cage in too.

Anything else?

I've always loved those little POS's. They're a pain to work on, due to a lack of space, but boy can they be fun!

Oh, and that voyager can be FAST. I had a few buddies back when I was into the P-bodies, they had the K-cars and were running 350+ on those turbo motors. I've seen it in the voyagers too, really good on the drag strip. Great to see a guys face when you roll up next to him at the tree, and he's in a Corvette, you're in a voyager, and the I4 Turbo takes him to school.

Got wiseco 8.5:1 .040" coated pistons, recondition rods, 3" swingvalve, 3" exhaust, fwdpermance fuel rail mopar 20+ injectors, adj fpr, ss fuel lines, and a bunch of other stuff still in transit. Racin weird ****, that's my kind of racin! I love racin stuff that nobody ever expects to be fast, just makes it all that much worse when they lose... Like, it's one thing having your Corvette lose, but losing to a four cylinder minivan?

I thought it'd be cool to boost the hell out of an AWD Toyota Previa S/C, if only I could find one 5 speed... (I've seen 'em, just not AWD and Supercharged with the 5 speed)

I thought maybe I had misread your statement about oil changes on your Lexus. By the way, the Lexus is a great car; owned two of them. Bought one of the first production RX300s in 1998, and had a bit of trouble with it. Seems the assembly protocol had a glitch or two early on. Several recalls to fix what should never have been a problem. Your Fiero, isn't that the V-6 model? If so, a blast to drive but tricky in the wet. Good condition V-6 Fiero models are starting to bring good prices. One reason is the large numbers that have been used with replica kits. Last good one I saw was sitting at a Discount Tire shop in Houston, bronze/gold with black accents, pristine black leather interior, a set of tasteful chrome after-market wheels....it was a fine looking car. Enjoy your SVX. Best wishes.

Your drivers seat looks better than mine. Let me know if you find a new one for your car.

I found two seats in good shape, not excellent but definetly better. I also got a ds door panel cause mine has a cut, 2 sets of visors and a better shift plate cause mine is broke. . No radiators Should I buy a new one? It would put me over budget on this car unfortunatly. Otherwise maybe i'll post in the wanted section.

For the budget-minded, a Silla rad can be had for $164.

I would not buy a used OEM radiator unless it was dirt cheap, given the history of failure.
