Mystery Rattle

So I've got this rattle that's making me nuts. I first noticed it in a parking lot, a violent rattle right before an upshift or downshift. Then the other day I parked on an incline like this / with the nose up, and I could hear it at idle. So I get home and play with it a bit, and notice that it begins to rattle (though not as loudly) at about 2000rpms when I rev it in park.

My first suspision was that is was all those heatshields at the "Y" in the exhaust, but I removed them, and it still rattles. It really sounds like some sort of heatshield or dustshield rattle to me. But my dad suggested that it could be a loose torque converter. Any other suggestions or experience?

if it is based only on rpm's then i would say its your resintor gone south, i had the same problem and when i eliminated the resinator while doing a 3in catback to a magnaflow getting prepared for a turbo the sound went away "i already had the magnaflow in, and got the catback for free so i just did it"

Classic SVX
The resonator on mine is bad causing it to rattle. I also thought it was a heat shield because one is loose but we removed it and a shop confirmed its the resonator. Most times it only rattles when driving forward around the 1500-2000rpm range. Kinda annoying.

Can you get someone to give it gas while your under looking for the rattle?
Keep it in P or N though and obviously on jacks w/emergency brake on

Was the rattle ever found? It could also be the large heatshield between the exhaust and the driveshaft.
