Atf oil light
In the left upper corner of the instrument panel where the theres the picture of the car decal is there a light that shows ATF temp when the switch is turn on. This is on a 94 svx L model. if light should be good where is the temp unit for that light located. It does not come on at all. My 92's shows the words ATF temp in that area. Or does the 94 L fwd not have one.

It has one but if it ever comes on while you're driving your tranny is already toast!
The sensor is internal but doesn't trigger the warning light anywhere near a "warning" temperature. In fact I don't think anyone has seen it illuminate while they were driving.

I have buried the needle on my aftermarket atf temp gauge and the idiot light still did not come on. That is over 240 degrees. Like Earthworm said, if you see that light your tranny is already toast.

In fact aren't there two lights?
One in the top left with a logo showing a gearbox with flames coming off it. Another in the centre at the bottom labeled "AT Oil Temp". I don't know what the difference is. The best joke of all is the writing on the sunvisor that says something like "avoid hard driving when the AT OIL TEMP light is on". As others have said, if the light comes on you already have a "box full of neutrals", so hard driving is rather unlikely.
