I currently only have 1st and 3rd gear and as a result my torque converter never locks up. My car is getting between 315-320 miles on each tank (16 gallons at fill up).

Previously (when I had all 4 gears), I got closer to 360-375 on a tank in mixed city & highway, and over 400 miles in mostly highway.

around 220 miles per tank (well about 13 gallons, so not quite full tank), but that is just driving about 7-15 mile trips usually. That translates into about 16 mpg. If i drive more highway then i can get around 20+ mpg

I drive over 100 highway miles daily at 75-80 miles an hour. I average 350 miles on 15 gallons of gas. I noticed a drastic change in milage when I used regular gas. For the best gas milage, I recommend premium.

I know I can count on this forum for anything I need, I though I was waaay under the miles you guys are getting. And I never use premium gas so maybe thats it also.

In order not to destroy your car, I recommend premium.

I agree. The car requires premium. The fuel will cost more, but I bet your mileage will increase.

Last tank I got 150 miles on 12 gallons, but it was all city and I only was drive to and from work which is only 4 miles each way.

I only drive my svx when I'm not a school. So I only have to get gas like ones a month. In the mean time the miles are going up and up on the impreza.

Worst ever: ~9.5 mpg
Best ever: ~28.5 mpg

Worst is around town mostly 2 mile runs where engine doesn't warm driving like a bat out of hell to escape flint-toids.

Best is on highway, mostly 75mph cruise. Got bored with that and went fast, probably could have hit 30 mpg.
