Talking I regret to inform you......

......that I will be leaving this miserable mid-Atlantic January-in-March weather, & will spend the next 5 days in the semi-tropics of Osprey, Florida just south of Sarasota, basking in the 70's, & observing thonged attire, whilst imbibing cheap wine on a friend's 17 foot runabout.
My condolences to those of you left in the tundra.

Ron (...may even drink out of a bottle this time).

Florida

I'm heading for Orlando myself. Leaving Sunday for a "Business" trip. Somedays I really like my job. I get to hang out a the Hilton and talk about how to make our jobs even better. (I thinking more meetings in Orlando)

For a five day stint I left the driving to US Airways.

Besides tanning (burning) in the sun, & chasing after dolphins & manatees in the Intracoastal waterway, the biggest find of all was when I was walking across the street in Nokomis, back to our picnic area by the waterway bridge to Casey Key, & there crossing the bridge, & turning right (north) was a shiny red SVX with (I think) Florida plates. I waved my SVX hat at the driver, but he was too busy staring at the feminine scenery to notice.
Then I went off to eat grouper & ribs in the sunshine. Life is good.
Now I'm back. Life is cold.

Ron (smelling retirement).

[QUOTE=svxistentialist]Well, did ya try it? Drinking out of a bottle?

Yes, Joe, I reluctantly bought a bottle of Gallo white zinfandel with a genuine imitation cork, & decanted the contents into actual glass stemware to the cheers of my friends. I tried to smile, but my heart just wasn't into it.
I gotta' get new friends.

Ron (decent nose, but a glassy aftertaste).

You need to pour that stuff into your cardboard decanter with the plastic spout. I hear cardboard absorbs the impurities which can ruin a fine wine.

WTF!!!!!

It rained the entire time I was there!!! It was nice and sunny while I was in meetings, but as soon as I get out...... The weather turns to crap.

I got so frustrated that I went to Sea World in the rain. I figured it was free so what the crap. I recommend not riding roller-coasters in the rain. It stings a little.
