Arrow Something to make you cry

Ta Da!

But in all seriousness though, is it just me or does it look like for the type of collision it went through very little of it seems to be affected. Not by how minor the damage is, because there is one huge impact on the left side that can be described as CRUNCH, but rather it seems there is no ripple affect or twisting of the frame towards the front dash and left side that tends to plague some other cars.

How does the SVX rate on impact safety by JD Power & Assosciates or anyone else for that matter, that includes yourself as well.

Btw, I know you people have seen worse.

It looks to me like the impact was on the Right side.
and as I posted earlier today in Alex's thread I haven't heard anyone being seriously hurt in an SVX crash yet (I'm sure someone has... I just haven't heard about it).

No, its not.

I don't even own an SVX as of yet, I am looking into two in my area. And if I did own one I would try really hard not to get it into that kind of situation, even though some you virtually cannot avoid.

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

I don't think I ever remember seeing a crash test for the SVX. Maybe b/c of the limited production it wasn't a priority for the gov't to rush out and buy 3 to destroy.

Limited production is the very reason that the Porsche 959 was never imported into the US. Since they only made 35 US models, they were not going to allow the USDOT to take 4 for testing purposes. Hence the reason the vehicles are not street legal here.

The SVX however, was most definitely tested.

Unfortunately, a member here, Chris Pape, was in a fatal accident in his SVX a couple years back.
