Need advice

If you found a 92 LS-L in excelent condition (3 minor scratches) with low miles, all records, orig owner, 7k mile trans, everything in good working condition, how much would you pay for it?

I paid 5800 for mine with 89 k on the trans . No problems thus far.

The roll eyes were because approx 8k later, my tranny died I'd say probably around $6k sounds right, provided the owner has maintainace records and can prove the tranny was actually done (and done correctly).

Were I selling the car you described, I'd ask at least $5000. Were I buying, I'd try to whittle that down close to $4000.

truthfully, a lot of 92s are probably going for significantly less than 5K$.. however with the new trans.. i'd say purchasing for 4k would be about right, 5k would be a BIT high, but if you know that its been very well taken care of, and trust the seller, probably worth the extra money.
