How many parts to the under tray?

Sence i got my SVX when ever i change the oil i always noticed that the under tray just seems to end and it has what looks to be 2 tabs for a extension on it. I was wondering if my car is missing a pice to the under tray or not. The under tray just extends past my oil filter. Its a US spec SVX. Thanks

That is just the way it is. I don't know what the tabs are for, but here isn't anything else to it.

belly pan

What you see is what you get your tray or "belly pan" extends just past the oil filter. It only takes about 10 minutes to remove as its only held on by 7 10mm bolts. If you feel adventuous sometime remove it and have a look see. I actually leave mine off when it's 80 degrees and above, and see a tranny temp 10 to 14 degrees cooler. Once you get the hang of it it comes off and goes on easy.

The Euro spec SVX's had longer engine under covers. I wonder if the tabs you see were used to connect another cover for those Euro models.

Hi Dave, the WSM for the Euro model shows the rear section of the under tray, that fits the two tabs and extends back under the transmission. My 95 model didn't have it fitted from new, so I don't know what it looks like

Harvey.

Looks like that was a pretty good guess Thanks for the clarification.
