Sunroof Vent Shade
Curious as to how many people have the sunroof vent/ wind deflector on their SVX? I was thinking about parting with mine for a couple of reasons:
1. The sunroof stays dirty. It's difficult to clean underneath it. 2. It makes noise while traveling. Brackets keep coming loose. 3. Not too sure if I like the looks of it. 4. Does it really re-direct the air over the sunroof? |

I have one now...
But I'm still not sure if I like it.... It doesn't help the looks of the car at all and I feel like it cuts out the space that I can see and feel out of the top. It also collects dust and dirt behind it. I also don' t feel that it cuts the sound of the air down that much...
(sounds like Mitch just convinced himself to take it off ... Huh?....)

1. not hard to clean underneath 2. doesn't make noise 3. i think it looks OK 4. does re-direct air, keeps some sun from beating on you 5. the brackets that come with it will put you in a murderous rage - i made my own brackets so i didn't go insane and throw it over the hill

i had on my legacy specifically for looks. it took away a little from the opening. i should have put one on the forester but didn't. the sunroof is small on the svx and i haven't really thought about putting on one.
ps - i don't excessively clean my cars unless my windows are dirty so cleaning around the deflector was not a major concern.

There's a first time for everything...
I believe this may be the first poll here in which I voted with the majority.
